FAQ

Questions we hear often

If you don't see your question here, just give us a call — we're happy to help.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We welcome new patients of all ages. Call (806) 481-7000 to get scheduled and we'll send your paperwork ahead of time.

What should I bring to my first visit?

A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications and doses, and any records or test results from previous providers.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most major insurance plans, including New Mexico Turquoise Care and Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Humana, Tricare, Molina Healthcare, Ambetter/Superior HealthPlan, VA insurances, and Cigna. We do not accept Texas Medicaid, workers' compensation, or automotive insurance at this time. Please call us and we'll verify your specific plan before your visit.

Which services are not covered by insurance?

Elective services such as medical weight loss, Botox and dermal fillers, hormone replacement therapy including pellet therapy, and ZO Skin Health products are self-pay. We'll go over pricing with you before anything is scheduled.

Can I be seen the same day?

We reserve time each day for acute and sick visits. Call early in the morning for the best chance at a same-day appointment.

How do I request a prescription refill?

Ask your pharmacy to send the refill request to our office, or call us directly. Please allow up to two business days, and note that some medications require an office visit first.

How do I get my lab results?

We call with results as soon as they're reviewed — usually within a few business days. If you haven't heard from us within a week, please call.

Do you handle referrals?

Yes. When specialty care is needed, we coordinate the referral and follow up with you after your specialist visit.
